Ultramixer 2.0.9 into the BCD family.

Last version of Ultramixer the 2.0.9 enters into the BCD compatible family. Now they are many software that promise full compatibility with BCD, but often they not maintain the promises. Our task it was to download demo version and to try it. In general Ultramixer works good, the BCD is implemented to native level and is fully recognized. But the pitch it is inverted and tones controls are inverted too, but you can change this in the midi map configuration. But the greatest lack is that it does not have the visualization of the wave shape. (It's incredible for a modern music software).Positive notes are the use of jog shuttle to navigate playlist, and the powerful master channel equalizer.At the moment I think that it's not a good idea to install it.

Xylio has released Future Decks Pro

Many BCD users expected upgrades for Bdj,but Xylio has released a completely new software : Future Decks Pro. It's fully compatible with BCD and it have many new features:
- automatic BPM analyzer (that works very well)
- native support to VST, AudioUnits effects, eqs, filters (on each channel, MIC and Master also)
- analog input, microphone talk-over
- external controllers support (BCD2000) and MIDI controllers
- KeyLock (master-tempo) (but with small music degrade)
- Mac compatible
- Waveform zoom
Futurdecks Pro have some bugs but Xylio is working to correct soon ( Cut Off filter, GUI interface and some others things).
The good news is that upgrade for Bdj users costs 25 euros only.
We have tested it with BCD and results are very funny, all works well and the general stability seems to be high!

Useful tool to resolve Traktor 3 jogwheel bug.

The Cycocraut solution for Traktor 3 it's not perfect, but this is an accetable thing, because Cyco have developing his solution day by day. An other possible solution was to write midi map in Traktor yourself. But the jogwheel was not possible to configure. To fix this bug Thomas , a very advanced programmer, has developed a tool.
To use your Jogwheel now you have to download and run this program: BCD-2000 Jogwheel Fix that enable use of Jog in Traktor 3 without using Cyco solution. There is documentation to use it in the same post. From the same author there is a good solution to setup BCD with Reason. This solution is downloadable from here. Many compliments to the author for this very useful tools.

All VST plugins on BDJ.

I've tested a free VST adapter to use VST plugin on BDJ. This wonderful free tool is VST DX Wrapper by SpinAudio . Into the free version is possible to use one plugin at time, but in Pro version this limitation is disable. In some cases one plugin is good, because BDJ can use other internal or DX plugin in same time. It's useful if you need of a jingle machine, to mix jingles and effects with your tracks, in real time. A free VST plugin that can do this , is RS1 Loop/Splice player by Topaz Productions, that adding 16 more tracks (in wave format) to use fx and jingles.
Another great VST adapter is VST-DX Adapter by Cakewalk (was by Fxpansion until version 3), more professional than DX Wrapper, and famous to have more stability and power. But this last products there isn't in demo version, so it's not been possible to test it.

We have found an other great tool. The name is Effect Chainer and it's free. It's a wrapper VST plugin and DX / VST plugin manager.
