BCD2000 and Vista works togheter!

Our friend ZeDd have written a useful post into Xylio forum, to explain how to install BCD 2000 on Windows Vista in properly mode.

First of all, I installed the old driver and the software from the cd. Then i did both upgrades. (driver 1.1.1 + software 1.2). Then i did a reboot. With no reboot, the driver won't load ! After the reboot, i plugged my bcd2000 with the USB-cable. Device detected and Vista is installing my device properly. Reboot again! After this second reboot, the driver is loaded (icon of behringer visible on right lower corner) I load VDJ and the leds on my BCD2000 are activated. (just like with XP) I did a quick setup of the midi-setting, latency, etc , no special things. I selected song, press play ... and the plays trough my headphone!!! no lag, no latency, no crops, nothing....

Behringer have not relesead Vista driver yet.
But with the tips and trick of this post is possible to install bcd2000 on Vista 32 bit.
Read the post carefully and try.
Otherwise plese write to Behringer.

I've installed the BCD2000 in Vista. If finds it. But when i start Deckadance, and loads up Midi options, I get the "cool blue background" and the computer restarts.

Is there anyway to output all sound through the BCD2000, in sound options or something?

I installed my BCD2000 and updated its drivers. I configured it to work with VDJ5 (with the mapper) but none of the LED lights will light up and I can't use it at all.

I plug in the USB, my computer detects it, then it says:

"A problem occurred during hardware installation."

Any thoughts?

This worked for me with a BCD2000 and vista 32 bit:
* download the latest xp drivers from the behringer site
* right click and choose properties on the drivers setup
* go the the compatability tab and choose compatability mode for windows xp
* now run the setup and it should just install normally

should help some of you.

Hello, I tried to run BCD2000 on 32-bit Vista on laptop. I did everything what was said in the article, but no success... Why don't Behringer release any official Vista drivers? I think it's a little bit stupid to sell some products which aren't supported on actual operating system... :(

It seems that behringer and xylio have fallen out and therefore xylio won't now support behringer. Xylio are(Ihave been told)looking to keep supporting but through charging for their software. It seems a shame that behringer cannot/wont talk to xylio or release a vista driver for the BCD2000 either by themselves or through a 3rd party.
After dowloading 1.1.1 I managed to get the lights working and all the sliders etc. However I seem to have the right channel coming out through the headphone socket and the left hand channel coming out the back. it seems no matter where I look I cant find a fix. I did download bj.1.2 but this resulted in completely distorted sound. so had to completely uninstall and re-install again.
It also seems odd that that vista wont see this and even in in the xp mode it wont recognise the Future decks pro software correctly. i thjink it is time to start bobmbarding behringer with emails to get this!!!!!!!!
currently using future decks pro at the moment.without the mixer which is completely useless.

Its like a one legged man entering an arse kicking competion, A lost cause at the moment.

Easy to get the BCD2000 working on vista! Right click on the bcd2kcpan.exe, choose properties, compatibillity tab at the top and change it to windows XP. Everything works.

If using PCDJ VJ you may have to do the same aswell!

Hey All!I had the same problem with BCD2000 running in Vista,Windows 7 all 32bit!
What i did to make it work is :
1)Remove BCD2000 in device manager under sound.
2)Right click the BCD2000 driver setup executable, under compatibility
choose Windows XP SP3,run as administrator.
3)Run the file as administrator, restart after the installation.

Good Luck

BCD 2000 - Behringer customer service is a joke and the product is the same.

Get your act together and update your BCD 2000 Vista drivers Behringer or recall this rubbish product and give people their money back.

OK something you all might want to check is after you install. go into device manager and look for BCD2000 under sound. see if it working properly, if not disable it and then enable it. works for me :)

Well.. The best way to run BCD2000 is on Win XP ,it runs perfectly on it! So best way run it,is to dual boot your OS! I just run BCD2000 on XP,that is the only reason I have XP installed!

12:13 AM
Anonymous Liam said...

No need for dual boots or anything else like that - I posted the solution about a year ago and it's simple!
- download the latest behringer xp drivers from their site
- once downloaded, right click on the file and choose properties
- go to the compatability tab and under 'run this program in compatability mode' select windows xp
- click ok to close and it should now install normally

Definately works for vista, not tried 7 but I assume it would work the same. Might be worth updating the original post.

After some serching on this I went onto the xylio site http://www.behringer.com/EN/Support/B-Control-Downloads.aspxdownloaded the software, then connected the mixer and downloaded the midi drivers on to it. then rebooted. this has resulted in the best result with all buttons working proprly now. only thing is i have to double tap all buttons to make them work, much like a mouse. If i can resolve this i will be so happy.

any ideas on this?

I find this very insulting, and if behringer doesn't buck their ideas up and I can see people disowning behringer for another model.
please support our needs behringer and it doesn't have to be a cd just a download would do for us users

i know it is nearly decades later but there are answers to this issue.
1. it depends on what processor and graphics card are in your computer. if you don't have the proper graphics card then you will experience skips, lags, no matter your latency rate you have set and the deck will stop playing. would have been nice for people to have widely shared that answer long ago for the behringer company to address that obvious driver issue.
2. this had only ever worked with 32-bit operating systems. they never released or even spoke about releasing a 64-bit version.

even when it is installed and has no issues as mentioned previously, you have a limited mix time. as there were issues with sudden bpm changes. even when using an ide hard drive that was 7200 rpm and maxing the ram out on said dell xps after the latest bios update. you can get it to work decently enough for a short mix, just not rinsing out the track. i ended up purchasing a bcd3000 and have it running on a windows 10 64-bit os with the latest traktor and there is no need for any tsi file. windows 10 will also run the original disc that comes in the box of the bcd3000. you will have to run all old software and then run the newest native instruments activation software in order to activate the installation. i have made it work on many computers so i can verify that. i had to experiment with both controllers for a couple of months in my free time just to get it all figured out and fully functioning. i hope this may help any future user to get this working as i will be trying to install the bcd2000 on a dell studio laptop with vista ultimate and a ssd with 4-8 gb ram. hopefully the gpu will be a compatible one. i believe my xps was an ati graphics card. not sure what is in my studio xps until i install the os. i may give an update here but wanted to share my findings and discoveries from scrolling many dozens of sites with discussions over nearly 2 decades worth of users having difficulties with this unit and the solutions that i found. this was all from having only recently wanting to get a cheap dj controller for my studio as i had used turntables for over a decade and wanted to save the life of my vinyls and original serato sl1 timecode vinyls.
